Built from delivery, for delivery.

Why ModernOps exists, how we work and why you can count on us.

Why ModernOps Was Built

Deanna Gray Minick didn’t run projects the way most project managers run them. She owned them. Every decision was traced downstream — what it meant for other scheduled work, for integrations, for testing, for the promised deliverables. Before work landed on a consultant’s to-do list, the ambiguity had been resolved, the priority and readiness had been confirmed, and the assignment matched the consultant’s actual skill set instead of a generic resource plan.

The team she built that way held 80 to 90% utilization for five consecutive years. Consultants stayed. Customers came back. It was not magic — it was the cumulative effect of a project lead who refused to hand off ambiguity and a team that could trust the operating rhythm underneath them.

She extended the same operating model across every project team in her last year at that firm, as Director of Project Delivery. The structure went in. The change took hold. But this kind of transformation cannot be executed in the margins of an already-full day. People burn out. Forced to choose, the team rightly picks the customer — and change stalls.

“It is virtually impossible to patch a boat while trying to bail water quickly enough to keep it from sinking.”

ModernOps exists because this work is not optional. And it deserves someone whose only focus is execution. No competing priorities. A leader who has built this operating model inside a Business Central practice, measured the results, and developed the playbooks to install it elsewhere without burning out the team being transformed. The EDGE Framework is how that change gets installed.

How we work

What we do not do

  • We do not sell software or take referral fees from PMS vendors.

  • We do not replace your PMS unless you ask — we optimize whatever you are already running.

  • We do not subcontract our consultants to your customer projects.

  • We do not staff-augment open seats on customer engagements.

  • We do not work with non-Microsoft BC practices.

  • We do not promise outcomes we can't measure.

The Tools That Power the Work

  • Microsoft 365 & Collaboration

    The environment we live in.

Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive — plus Microsoft CoPilot for AI-assisted task and file management that keeps operations running without administrative overhead. Embedded use in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A governed single source of truth without shadow systems not visible to the project team.

  • Power Platform & Data

    Where governance becomes intelligence.

Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio. The stack that turns a governed data foundation into automated workflows, real-time visibility, and AI that actually delivers on its promise. This is where the EDGE Framework lives.

  • Project & Work Management

The methodology doesn't change. The tool does.

Broad familiarity across the PMS landscape, integrated with Azure Dev Ops or GitHub. Every practice has a tool they are already invested in. We govern and optimize whatever you are running. The gap is almost never the tool. It is the lack of discipline to use it.

  • AI Tools

Enabling AI to improve how work gets done.

Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Claude Anthropic, all grounded in your enterprise data and in compliance with your security protocol. Used daily for operational problem solving, workflow automation, content development, and customer communication. We understand what these tools need in order to deliver real value and what happens when the data foundation is not there to support them.

Now you know who we are. Want to see what this looks like in your practice?
